Lung Cancer |
Lung cancer/Throat cancer09/24/2009 |
I am having a biopsy done in about 2 weeks. Bronchoscopy to be exact. I have COPD, alot of pain in the upper back & front of chest, cough alot, trouble swallowing, sometimes get pain in throat & hard/hurts to swallow. Have several nodules/both lungs bout 7mm each. Should I be worried I have cancer? Thanks :)D
Thank you for your question. A nodule in the lung is always worrisome for cancer, however, this can also be from infection or scar. You did not mention your smoking status, however, if you have COPD, I am assuming you have some smoking exposure. Smokers with lung nodules are at an increased risk for cancer. Depending on the size, biopsies can be done.
