Change in size and shape11/30/2009 |
I usually have normal shaped stools, shaped like a log and long. For the past week, they have been more smaller, more round (about 1-2 inches in diameter) and also instead of one or two "logs" more like a group of round (not perfectly round). Sometimes I am straining, although I notice I am also going more frequently (2-3 times a day vs once every 2-3 days). Do I need to get this checked out?
No. Eat more fiber and drink more water, and things should return to "normal" for you. If you see blood, have pain, or cannot pass stool or gas, call your doctor.
