Reoccurring Swollen Taste bud

Question:

I have a taste bud that gets swollen I pull it out because it bugs me a lot, there is no pain it is just irritating also there is not really any discoloration. After a couple weeks it comes back, no matter how many times I pull it out, it always comes back. It is about two to three times bigger than the rest of my taste buds and it is located about the same place as where a tongue ring would be placed. Do you have any idea what it could be?

Answer:

If it is in the same place time after time, you most likely have a local irritation (rough spot on a tooth, etc.) causing it. If that is not the case, it could just be a weird taste bud.

If you see a dentist, they may be able to remove the taste bud with a laser and it would not recur.
