Glomerulonephritis10/01/2009 |
Is there a reason why an individual with glomerunephritis would not be receiving albumin with lasix for edema?
Although it would make sense that a combination of albumin and Lasix might work well to help get rid of swelling in nephrotic syndrome, the combo is not actually very effective. This is probably because the albumin is quickly either lost in the urine or broken down by the body, so it does not hang around long enough to make much difference.
