Hip Replacement after Knee Replacement

11/12/2009

Question:

My aunt had a knee replace last March and has been in terrible pain ever since. Her doctors are telling her that she now needs a hip replacement. She has no pain in her hip, the pain is in the interside of the knee that was replaced.

Answer:

Problems at the hip can cause knee pain but that is not always the case.  If you are still uncertain, get a second opinion.
