Head and Neck Cancer |
Small Lump in the Right Side of Neck10/27/2009 |
Hi. I am a 29 year old mother of a 3 year old kid. Since yesterday I have got throat pain in only right side of my neck. It only pains when I eat or swollow. About 15 days earlier I had noticed a small lump in my right side of neck which was not paining at that time but now it is paining if I press it. I am very afraid. What do you think it is? Please, if possible, answer me asap. I have never smoked in my life, nor do I drink or have tobbaco.
Let me first say that your risk of having cancer is very low. The possibilities are numerous however. Most often when a neck node is painful we are dealing with some type of infection or irritation. You definitely need to see your physician. If he cannot solve the problem he will most likely send you to and ear nose and throat doctor.
