Cataracts12/10/2009 |
Would it be safe to have cataract surgery. Been doing good remission at this time. but afraid it will put me a crisis again. Had a hystermy in 2006 than had to go on predisone again.
I think it would be reasonable for you to have cataract surgery if your myasthenia gravis is in remission. I would recommend that you discuss this with your treating neurologist to confirm that he is in agreement. Very often I speak with the anesthesiologist and the surgeon so that we can go over the medications that would be used before, during and after the surgery. Hope this helps. Best of luck with the surgery.
