What are the pros vs. cons of reproducing if you have sickle cell anemia?
The major problem one deals with is the passing of the gene for hemoglobin s to child. If the other parent does not have sickle cell disease or trait or thallassemia or hemoglobin c then the children may have trait and not be significantly affected.
