Narrow Angles03/11/2010 |
I was just told that I have narrow angles in my eyes, and I should have iridotomy. Is there any other way, but laser iridotomy?
Narrow angles are not an eye disease. However, they do increase the patient's risk later in life of a serious and potentially blinding eye disease called acute (sudden) glaucoma.
Laser iridotomy is the only treatment available now for narrow angles. In addition, it is a very safe and effective outpatient procedure for this condition.
