Can COPD Patients Go Out in Cold Weater?12/17/2009 |
My mom has COPD and we are going to a cabin to play in the snow with our children and I want my mom to go. She is worried about the cold and how that will affect her. IF we keep her warm and leave the vehicle running with the heater on, will she be ok? thank you.
This really depends on how she usually does in cold weather and breathing cold air. However, if you try to keep her warm and make sure she has a scarf around her nose and mouth to breathe warmer air, she should be fine.

Best wishes.
