Sugar in Urine12/22/2009 |
Can consuming a concentrated amount of sugar at one time result in excess sugar showing up in a urine strip test?E.G. eating all of a leftover bag of Easter jelly beans 48 hours before a routine physical exam - where you`re required to fast between midnight & whatever time they do the urine test.
As a general rule, unless you are a diabetic, sugar should not appear in your urine, especially after an overnight fast. If it does, then further testing is necessary.
