Omega-3 Fish Oil and Shellfish Allergy

12/16/2009

Question:

Is Omega-3 Fish Oil safe for individuals with a shellfish allergy to use?

Answer:

While the shellfish allergy is to the proteins in the shellfish, we strongly suggest not using it without their physicians supervision Some patients have felt safer with coverage with allergy medication at hand at first.
