Black Spot on Tongue01/05/2010 |
I have a 3 yr. old with a black spot on the back part of her tounge. What should I do? Who should we see?
I would strongly suggest that you have your child evaluated by a Pediatric dentist and or your Pediatrician.
The “Black Spot” may be nothing more than a blood vessel (vein) or a small hematoma that occurred secondarily by biting the tongue. But the lesion should be evaluated as soon as possible to rule out other possibilities.
