Please comment status and possible time of availability of pirfenidone.Thanks.
The Intermune Pharmaceutical company submitted an application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for pirfenidone in early November. The FDA will review the application materials and respond within the next few months. At present, pirfenidone is available in Japan but not in the United States.
