Teeth That Wiggle Ever So Slightly
I have three teeth that wiggle ever so slightly, I have always had decent hygiene, I started flossing and using mouth wash twice a day about ten days ago. I noticed that one of my bottom incisors moved a bit and so does one of the top, not an insisor, the tooth next to it on the right. I have a habit of chewing pens and I sometimes grind my teeth. I also have a slight overbite. I had this issue two years ago, and the dentist said it was something I had done gradually, get a mouth guard and no more pens. I followed his advice, but recently got to comfortable. Have I just done the same thing or should I be worried. I have a dental appointment in one month, but I would like to know what I could do in the meantime to maybe tighten up the teeth. I think one feels better but I feel like the bottom one is worse, my dad says I did that myself and not to touch the teeth again and if it doesn`t tighten up in two weeks to panic, but I just want to make sure I am not going to lose this poor tooth, I mean I have always brushed pretty regularly, at least once a day, so gum disease seems unlikely but I`m freaking out completely. I also eat healthy foods, not a lot of soda or sugar. I am 25 years old and only have one cavity, I`m healthy and actively work out, what is going ON???? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep flossing everyday and wearing your bite guard as much as possible whenever you think you may be grinding. No more pens and keep your dental appointment next month. Your dentist might be able to fine adjust your bite if needed or suggest other gum treatments if needed. A very small amount of looseness (mobility) might be normal. Your regular dentist will be able to evaluate this and compare to your previous status.
