Question:

I went to the ER because I had realy bad stomach pains. I know that pain can effect blood pressure. My bottom number was half the top number. It was 128/64. Does the difference between the two numbers mean any thing? That it half the other number?

Answer:

Insufficient information to answer. Blood pressure extremely variable and not valid under emergency room conditions, unless grossly abnormal, because of the influence of pain and blood pressures are measured under non-standardized conditions.
