My sister got her MRI results back and she has a tibual plateau fracture. Can you tell me more about this type of injury?
Tibial plateau fractures occur along the top of the bone near the joint space of the knee. As such, the difficulty managing this fracture relates to where the fracture is in the area and if it extends into the joint. Your sister's physician should be able to direct her with the best treatment plan based on the location of the injury and the stability of the fracture. Good luck!
