Food or Drinks That Help
What food or drinks can I take to help my lungs fight or heal pulmonary fibrosis?
There are no foods or drinks that are known to improve idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Foods and drinks are not regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Authority.
There are often claims made that certain nutritional supplements and other foods will improve or cure patients with pulmonary fibrosis.
Unfortunately, these claims are generally not based on science and are often done by people who are taking financial advantage of patients who are desperate for any kind of treatment for this serious disease. I tell my patients to eat what they like to eat and not follow any special type of pulmonary fibrosis diet.
