ENT Surgeons and Thyroid/Parathyroid Surgery04/05/2010 |
Could you tell me, please, whether ENT surgeons usually operate on the thyroid and/or parathyroid. If a thyroid is non-cancerous but is small and fragile, is that a reason to have a thyroidectomy?
ENT surgeons do the majority of thyroid surgery in the US. Small and fragile are not reasons to have throid surgery.
