Shoulder injury

02/09/2010

Question:

Shoulder charge in a game & it`s been 2month`s since the injury and I still have sharp pains in movements and I have been doing light training to try & strenghten the area does`nt seem to be getting better have I done more damage then a deep bruise?

Answer:

Yes.  Generally speaking, most injuries should get significantly better in only two weeks if you have a simple strain or bruise.  So it does sound like it is time to have a health care professional examine your shoulder.

It is usually safe to continue with light workouts as long as you do not push through pain.  Muscle fatigue is fine but pain is not so listen to your body when you workout.
