Tongue Problems02/09/2010 |
The back of my tongue is swollen, and it feels like there is a lump on each side. Its painful when I swallow and even when I move my tongue. Its seems to be at its worst when I wake up. I can`t see anything, but I feel the swollen bump, when I stick my finger in my throat. The spots are right at the back of my tongue at the point where it starts into my throat. Any advice or knowledge on what this might be?
To be sure that the "swollen bump" is not something else and especially nothing serious, I would suggest you see an oral surgeon (oral and maxillofacial surgeon) or an ear, nose and throat doctor (ENT, otorhinolaryngologist) to have this area examined carefully. Good luck!
