02/18/2010

Question:

i had gastic bypass 5 years ago. For the last year my lips and toungue are numb and my lips are champ all the time. Do you know what i can do for this??? Please help me.

Answer:

Gastric Bypass is a malabsorptive procedure that changes how food and nutrients are absorbed in your body. If nutrients are not absorbed, then levels may be low, and you may become symptomatic.

You should make an appointment with your physician and surgeon for lab work to evaluate your symptoms.
