Blood Clots on Eye
i have a broken blood vessel in the eye and a clot on the out side what caused this and what do i do?
If the broken blood vessel is located within the white part of the eye (the conjunctiva), this may be a subconjunctival hemorrhage. These superficial blood vessels can burst if a person coughs heavily, does heavy lifting, or performs any activity that causes excessive strain.
Usually this condition is benign and requires no treatment; however, I would advise you to schedule with your eye doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment. Your eye doctor may also dilate your eyes to rule out any hemorrhages in the retina, the tissue that lines the back part of your eyes.
