Vaccination for Swine Flu

03/02/2010

Question:

I am planning to take the swine flu vaccination for my 3 year old child. Is the swine flu vaccination for a year or will it last lifelong? Please advice.

Answer:

Swine flu vaccine would last for a year. It is recommended that people get flu shots every year because the flu virus mutates. The flu shots are changed most years based on the most recent flu virus mutations.
