Contrast Dye Used for Eye Examinations03/09/2010 |
I have a question regarding the contrast dye that is used for eye examinations. Does this dye present the same/similar risks for patients with renal disease as the dyes used for MRIs?
No. The dye used in eye exams is not at all similar to the dye used in an MRI. It is safe to proceed with your eye exam.
