Routine Chest XR Reveals Ill-Defined Density04/15/2010 |
Had a chest xray because I`m over 40 (49) for pre-op regarding very minor, unrelated condition that required a day surgery. I was shocked when dr. called to tell me xray wasn`t clear. Told might be TB or scarring; going in for TB test tomorrow. I`m in shock. Could the one serious lung infection I had 4 years ago have caused this?
Yes, it easily could be a scar from the previous illness. Also, in Ohio we commonly get an infection called Histoplasmosis that produces only a minor illness that doesn't need treament but leaves a scar much like TB might appear.
