Pulmonary Nodule03/18/2010 |
hi i am 39 yrs old and i am a smoker.i was diagnos with interstitial lungs in 2005.i just found out i got a 9x7mm pulmonary nodule at the left lung base on (series 2,image 4).some strandy/coarse fibrotic change are present at both lung bases.i have a family history of cancer.my dad just pass away 5 yrs in july.so is there anything i should worry about.
You should follow up with a specialist in lung disease and evaluate the nodule. With a family history of lung cancer, smoking history and lung fibrosis, it is important that you have expert help in evaluating the nodule, track your lung function and define your treatment plan.
