Extra Teeth03/29/2010 |
I have 2 extra teeth that grew in between my 2 front teeth, but they are smaller than my front teeth. i also have 2 extra teeth behind my real front teeth. What needs to be done?
What you have described sounds like what we call "supernumerary teeth." These extra teeth often occur near the two upper front teeth and are often small and sometime pointy in shape. This problem definitely warrants a visit to the dentist. The usual treatment is to remove the extra teeth. This should be evaluated right away because prompt treatment may minimize the movement of your real teeth.
