Is it Safe to Conceive, When on Anti TB Med

04/14/2010

Question:

Hi, I am on Anti TB medicines since last 3 months. I am suffering from genital TB. A year back I had an ectopic pregnancy and then the doctor advised me to go for a TB-PCR and culture test by Endometrium suction. The PCR report was +ve but the culture was negative. Since January I am on medicines R-Cinex 600mg, Liv 52 DS tablets, Mycobutol 800mg, Benedon 40mg and Udiliv 300mg. I had stopped taking P-Zide 15oomg last month only. I had missed my period this month. Its almost 5 days over the due date. It was due on 9th April. I had a regular cycle of 30 day. I had never missed them before. If I am pregnant will it be safe for me and the baby to have all these medicines? Please reply soon. I am really worried about this.
