Central Disc Protrusion04/14/2010 |
At L4-L5 there is a central disc protrusionwithventral impression on the thecal sac. Bright signal in the posterieor disc margin on T2andSTIR sequences indicates annular tear. There is ligamentum flavum hypertrophy. The canal measures 12mm in AP diameter x only 7.3mm in transverse diameter. There is marked degenerative change in the facets on the left at this level with fluid intensity noted. Very mild encroachment of the left formina related to facet hypertrophy. Can You Tell me what this means in laymans terms?
