Gagging04/21/2010 |
I got dentures one year ago and have only worn them about 5 times, about 30 min each time. They gag me so bad I about throw up. Please help.
If you have had dentures in the past that did not "gag' you, it is likely that these new ones are just too long and need adjusted. If this is your first set, then it may take both time and also some adjustment by your dentist. If you cannot adapt, even after the dentures are adjusted, dental implants may be necessary to eliminate the problem.
Return to the dentist who made your dentures or seek care from a dental specialist called a Prosthodontist who should be able to figure out what is causing your problem.
