COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)

How Best to Control COPD?

I have COPD, progressive, it seems. Are there successful treatments for controlling this? I don’t see anything specific in the literature addressing this.

Yes, there are number of treatment options for COPD.  These include inhaler therapy and pulmonary rehabilitation.

If your disease is more advanced treatment with supplemental oxygen as well as lung reduction surgery may be beneficial. You should discuss some of these options with your family doctor or a pulmonary specialist.  Of course, if you are smoking, quitting smoking is the most important thing you can do for your lungs.
