My one year old son was prescribed amoxicillin a month ago and i lost the prescription after i already filled it so i got another bottle. A few days later it was returned to me by my mother after my husband forgot it at her house. I was just given a prescription of amoxiciilin for him again and want to know if i could use the one prescibed last month.
Amoxicillin suspension expires 14 days after being mixed up by the pharmacy. It also requires refrigeration. The bottle you picked up a month ago should have an expiration date on it written by the pharmacy. You should not use the bottle beyond that date, or if the bottle has not been refrigerated.
