Incontinence in a patient with Glaucoma06/11/2010 |
What alternatives to Detrusitol etc. for incontinence are available to someone with Glaucoma?
There are many anticholinergics on the market for the treatment of over active bladder and urge incontinence, but these all must be used with caution in individuals with glaucoma. It is worth discussing the possibility of using any of these medicines with your opthamologist. Pelvic floor exercises and other types of pelvic floor biofeedback are also useful in improving urgency and urge incontinence. It would be worth discussing this with your physician or urologist.
