Painful Underside of Tongue/Bed of Mouth06/15/2010 |
Hey there, for about the past 13 days the bed area underneath my tongue has been irritated. Most of the time it feels rather dry, but I`m thinking most of the irritation is associated with the strip of flesh that connects the tongue to the bottom of the mouth. Now, when I try to use my tongue to touch my molars, for example, that strip of skin is painful and feels like it has been torn slightly or something. Is there anything I can do to help the healing? Or could this be evidence of a much bigger problem? Thanks in advance
Most likely you have strained the area and will feel better in another week or two. If not, you should follow up with your dentist or physician.
