hello well am under some stress these days so i do bite my tongue continuosly today i i injueed my self by the root left side of my tongue so littile amount of blood but i feel that talking isn`t the same maybe am just having illusions just am worried, and having that question if i had a small cut would the tongue recover it self thanks.

Typically, when the tongue is injured, it is very common for it to swell slightly and feel more bulky in your mouth. In many people, it will slightly affect their speech. As long as it is not injured on a continual basis, it should heal in a few days and your speech will be back to normal. It is important to not numb it with anything from a store since you may retraumatize the area and you wouldn’t know it.
