Surgical Clips in Lung07/01/2010 |
I had a chest xray for shortness of breath, wheezing etc and the result said heart normal. "There are some surgical clips in the left mid lung". 7 years ago I had a left breast surgery to remove a lymph node. Why would I have surgical clips in my lung? Will they have to be removed? Thank you
Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon at all to see on an x-ray surgical clips from a previous chest surgery. Unless you are experiencing any symptoms, they are not likely to cause any problems.
