Hot Flashes Years After Stopping HRT07/09/2010 |
I had a total hysterectomy at the age of 35. I took premarin for 5 years and then weaned off of the medication. Had some hot flashes, but they finally stopped. Have had no hot flashes for at least 15 years and now that I am 53, the hot flashes have returned. They do not occur at night, only during the day. I have had my thyroid tested and this is normal. Any ideas?
This is difficult to answer without knowing the reason for your hysterectomy and your other medical conditions. Good question for your regular physician who knows you well.
