Hi, my son 1.5 yrs old, got sudden fever today afternoon. from last 5 days his stomach was not proper.he was ok in morning but in after noon sudden fever doctor prescribed kefclav 50 mg. what is this kefclav.??? Rainy season in india now a days.

Kefclav is a product marketed in India. It is a mixture of two drugs called cefixime and clavulanate. Cefixime is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections. Clavulanate is added because it helps cefixime to work better. Your son might start to feel better soon and his fever might go away, but it is important that you keep giving him the medicine. Taking all the medicine that the doctor prescribed will help to keep the infection from coming back.
