Small White Painless Bump on Side of Tongue
white, slightly raised, painless bump on one side of my tongue. I have a history of cold sores on my lips & in the nostrils, a couple of times per year. I can usually identify why I have the outbreak: commonly due to sun exposure, excessive stress, or following a cold. I have never smoked or chewed tobacco and only drink occasionally (once every 3-6 months). I am a 57-year-old female. I can barely feel it, but I can see it in the mirror. May I have your expert input? Thank you.
Thank you for visiting NetWellness.
Without examining your tongue, it would be impossible to say exactly what this is. If you are concerned, you should make an appointment to see an oral pathologist for evaluation.
