my daughther has a hemorrage behind her left eye i have taken her to a specialist and i was told that there is nothing that can be done for her how dangerous is this and can she lose to sight because of this
I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's hemorrhage.
There are many factors involved when a hemorrhage heals in the body, some of which are
(1) what caused the bleeding?
(2) How extensive is the bleeding?
(3) What are her other medical diseases?
(4) Is she allergic to any medications?
(5) Is her immune system compromised?
Normally, if the hemorrhage is small, scar tissue does not impair the function of the affected organ very much; but permanent blindness can result from scar tissue forming in the central part of the eye.
Be sure to follow your eye doctor's recommendations carefully as her hemorrhage gradually resolves. In addition, ask your eye doctor if he/she expects this to happen again; if the answer is "yes", what can be done to minimize or even eliminate the risk of reoccurrence.
