No appetite 5 yr doctors can`t figure it out.07/22/2010 |
I was recently diagnosed with gastroperesis after having cyclic vomiting for many years. In addition I have no appetite which has also been just as long around 5 years. I struggle to stay around 90 and 97 lbs. I am 21 years old and I feel like I am 80. I was tested for celiac and it came back negative. I feel like I am a case of mystery diagnosis still waiting to be figured out. Please help me.
Very difficult problem. Lack of appetite is not a common problem but having gastroparesis may contribute to it. I don't know if you are being treated for it but if not you should take Reglan or Erythromycin. By emptying your stomach, this may increase your appetite. There are also meds your doctor could prescribe which stimulate appetite.
