I have been told that I have MERSA on my lung. Can it be cured?
Methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacteria that can cause serious pneumonia in certain patients. Other people may have the bacteria isolated from cultures and not notice any symptoms.
It can be treated with antibiotics but your doctor would have to determine if you need antibiotics and which ones. We have a page on MRSA infections on netwellness that may be of help to you:
