Treatment of MRSA

What is the best antibiotics for the treatment of MRSA?

MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The name lets us know that it is resistant to one of the main groups of antibiotics (methicillin and its relatives, nafcillin and oxacillin) we use to treat Staphylococcus aureus, but tells us nothing about the other drugs we can use. The only way to know for sure what will work is to test the bacterium causing the infection in that particular patient. Physicians then can look at the results of the testing to decide which drug will work best.
