I wonder how long one should refrain from sex after being treated with antibiotic for chlamydia or gonorrhea? The treatment is a single dose of Zithromax or Cefixime and I am not sure how long it will take for the medicine to clear the infection completely.
The recommendation is sexual activity should not resume until all sex partners have been examined and, if necessary, treated. Test should be repeated about 12 weeks after treatment. I hope this helps
