Is anterior tibial tendonitis and shin splints the same thing?
Shin splints are a term that many athletes use to describe pain in their shin, but the pain can come from many sources. Anterior tibial tendonitis is a better descriptor because it identifies the involved tissue and the type of injury to the tissue.
