Please Help10/28/2010 |
my 1 year old baby has had a lump on his shoulder for over 6 months now. i have squeezed it and a greeny yellow colour puss came out, i do the same everynight and it wont seem to go away,i took him to the doctors but they just tell me to leave it alone but when it swells up he crys like hes in pain please help
You are correct that this is a worrisome finding. I would ask, either your pediatric health care professional or go to an emergency room or urgent care center to have a culture of the drainage performed. Based upon these results, antibiotic management may (or may not) be indicated.
