my mother is 83 and has COPD under good control. She will be traveling to Sedona, AZ with a 4500 ft altitude, how will this affect her? What precations should we take?
Oxygen molecules in the atmosphere are a bit fewer and far in between at higher altitude, therefore she might require supplemental oxygen depending on her current blood oxygen level. This can be discussed with the physician taking care of her.
