Recurrence of Kidney Cancer?
Nine years ago my father was diagnosed with stage one kidney cancer. Thankfully, surgery was performed and he`s been cancer free. He recently went in for his now yearly checkups. The physician that performed the ultrasound on his kidney went to his left kidney, then the right kidney and back to the left kidney again. My father said they have never done that before. Is this normal? Also, what is the risk of recurrence of kidney cancer after nine years? Thanks for your time.
It would be best to wait for the report. You may just have a thorough technician. The cancer can come back in the other kidney but it would be unlikely.
