I have copd emphysema and chronic bronchitis I have caught cold and my cough and chest pain has become real bad. I am only sleeping a couple hours a night, even with the oxygen,a friend told me to check out lams disease,what would you suggest? I`m low income so have areal hard time with medical,I have also lost 26 pounds in 7 months they say its common I only weigh 94 pounds and stand 5ft 5.
By "lams disease,” does your friend mean lymphangioleiomyomatosis or LAM? That is a very rare disease that only occurs in women. Some of the symptoms can resemble emphysema/chronic bronchitis. Usually you can tell if LAM is a possibility by having a chest cat scan.
